1、 What is odorless crosslinking agent

Odorless and environmentally friendly crosslinking agent is an initiator that can transform polymers from linear structures to network structures. Its mechanism of action is to activate the C-H bonds in the polymer to break and recombine, thereby forming a network structure. In the rubber industry, it is commonly referred to as a vulcanizing agent, but the crosslinking of rubber involves sulfur itself directly, while odorless crosslinking agents themselves do not participate in crosslinking and play a triggering role.

The new odorless non peroxide crosslinking agent has the following significant advantages compared to traditional DCP (diisopropylbenzene peroxide) and BIPB (bis (tert butylperoxydiisopropylbenzene):

2. Before use, add the crosslinking agent to the slurry and stir evenly before use. If you need to test the water wash fastness of the slurry after adding the crosslinking agent, please test it again after 24 or 48 hours to achieve the best effect;

3. When the proportion of crosslinking agent is high, it can completely meet the requirements without drying, but the disadvantage is that the hand feel is slightly hard;

4. If the cross-linking agent is added and stored for too long, it will become ineffective or solidify, which can easily lead to waste (it is recommended that customers mix as much as they need).

3、 How to choose odorless crosslinking agent

For different adhesives, suitable crosslinking agents should be selected, and there are some requirements for odorless crosslinking agents as follows:

1. The active groups of odorless crosslinking agents can react with the components in the adhesive to form crosslinked structures.

2. Odorless crosslinking has high efficiency, and a stable crosslinked structure can be obtained by adding a small amount.

3. The tasteless crosslinking speed is suitable, but too fast or too slow is not beneficial.

4. Mixing several crosslinking agents can achieve excellent comprehensive effects.

5. Odorless crosslinking agents remain stable during processing and storage, without any harmful reactions or agglomeration. Non toxic, non irritating, and non polluting to the environment.
