Summary: The main purpose of Professor Guo and Professor Liu's visit was to conduct a technical handover for the project's research and development. They mainly exchanged ideas with our chief engineer and laboratory personnel regarding the in-depth research and development of TPU crosslinking agents and the application of environmentally friendly plasticizers in new fields, broadening the company's future development direction.

  On March 31, 2021, Professor Guo Jinshan and Professor Liu Xingyu from Lanzhou University visited our company again to ensure a seamless project handover.

  The main purpose of Professor Guo and Professor Liu's visit was to conduct a technical handover for the project. They mainly exchanged ideas with our chief engineer and laboratory personnel on the in-depth research and development of TPU crosslinking agents and the application of environmentally friendly plasticizers in new fields, broadening the company's future development direction.

  I. TPU Crosslinking Agent

  TPU high-polymer new materials, specifically TPU-laminated eco-friendly leather, possess excellent physical properties and wide product applications. They represent the optimal solution for the current synthetic leather and artificial leather industries. Current PVC artificial leather equipment can be used to produce TPU-laminated eco-friendly leather, enabling transformation and upgrading, and significantly enhancing the quality and value of leather products.

  A crucial aspect is addressing the adhesive strength and peel strength between the TPU laminated film and genuine leather or microfiber leather during bonding. Our company must develop a crosslinking agent suitable for bonding TPU film and leather. This crosslinking agent must meet all physical properties and bonding reaction indicators between the TPU eco-friendly film and leather, while also complying with the EU RoHS directive. Currently, polyurethane and epoxy resin types are commonly used solutions.

  This effectively addresses the environmental pollution problems and shortcomings of traditional PVC artificial leather and PU synthetic leather using new laminated TPU materials. It fully meets the current definition of green environmental protection, enabling the production of laminated eco-friendly leather using laminated TPU materials. These products have a wide range of applications, such as floor coverings, leather goods, inflatable mattresses, inflatable boats, surfboards, etc., and can replace traditional PVC artificial leather and PU synthetic leather in relevant applications.

  II. Environmentally Friendly Plasticizer

  Our current research direction involves using a PVC coating machine to directly laminate TPU eco-friendly film, then crosslinking it with various genuine leathers, microfiber fabrics, polyester fabrics, knitted fabrics, etc., and an environmentally friendly plasticizer using a high-performance combined process. This enhances adhesion and peel strength, while ensuring extended service life, increased softness, and improved tear resistance for these products. The existing lamination equipment can be used, eliminating the need for repeated investment in the industry. TPU in laminated eco-friendly leather can use the PVC artificial leather production process, meaning manufacturers do not need to invest in purchasing or modifying equipment; existing PVC artificial leather production equipment can be used directly. Through a series of processes such as intensive mixing, kneading, lamination, bonding, foaming, and embossing, new TPU laminated eco-friendly leather can be obtained, directly replacing PVC and PU synthetic leather products.

  The ultimate development trend is for environmentally friendly plasticizer crosslinking agents and TPU laminated eco-friendly leather to possess excellent physical properties and wide product applications, representing the best solution for the current synthetic leather and artificial leather industry. PVC artificial leather production equipment can be fully utilized to produce TPU laminated eco-friendly leather, enabling industrial transformation and upgrading, and further enhancing the value of these leather products.

  The application of environmentally friendly plasticizers in new fields significantly improves the service life and environmental protection level of end products, especially in luggage, footwear, marine aquaculture, children's toy fabrics, and automotive decoration, where the results are excellent. It extends the service life of end products, improving their anti-aging properties, softness, tear resistance, peel strength, and environmental compliance with the EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU Annex II amended directive and the limit values required by (EU) 2015/863.
