The production process of TPU footballs - Guangyuan Ruifeng New Materials

Release Time: 2020-07-10

Summary: Adhesion is the first and most important process in football production. The adhesion process is completed by modern professional equipment to ensure the materials have the best possible start.

1. Bonding

Bonding is the first and crucial step in football production. This process is carried out using modern, specialized equipment to ensure the materials have the best possible start.

2. Leather Cutting

Leather cutting involves trimming the materials. This is a very important step in football production. Quality inspectors are involved throughout the process to supervise and ensure precise cutting. Experienced cutters further guarantee optimal material quality.

3. Leather Cutting Inspection

To ensure the highest quality materials, a leather cutting inspection process is included. From full supervision during cutting to post-cutting inspection, every production step is meticulously performed, as our pursuit is the highest quality.

4. Leather Storage

The cut leather is dried, collected, and organized. Another quality check is performed before storage.

5. Material Printing

Printing the leather creates materials with various patterns and colors.

6. Post-Printing Inspection and Storage

Post-printing, quality inspection is essential to ensure all printed materials meet standards before storage.

7. Hand Stitching

Eighteen pieces are hand-stitched to form a new ball. While typical footballs use 32 pentagonal pieces, Maita footballs use 18, resulting in fewer stitching points and lines. This reduces friction, improves flight trajectory accuracy and stability, enhances roundness and elasticity, but demands higher craftsmanship. This type of ball has been used in the UK for nearly a century.

8. Closing

Closing requires skill, and the precision of this process significantly impacts product quality. Ample time is given to employees to ensure each ball is properly finished.

9. Quality Inspection

Quality inspection is an indispensable step. To produce high-quality products, quality control is crucial. Our goal is for all products to be NO.1.

10. Inflation and Shaping

Inflation and shaping give the football its basic form.

11. Ball Cleaning and Weighing

Dust and any remaining latex are cleaned, and the ball is weighed to ensure it meets the required weight.

12. Inflation and Shaping

After 24 hours, the ball's appearance, air pressure, and weight are re-checked.

13. Air Test

A new ball undergoes an inflation test after completion.

14. 72-Hour Air Check

The ball is placed on a rack and stored in the factory for 72 hours. A second inspection is conducted after 72 hours to eliminate any potential human error and ensure optimal quality of the final product.

15. Quality Inspection, such as Circumference Measurement

After the air test, the football undergoes a comprehensive quality inspection before packaging. This includes measuring the circumference; for competition balls, the target is precisely 690mm, with only balls between 685mm and 695mm being accepted.

16. Packaging

The finished footballs are packaged.

17. Completion

After completing the above steps, the product is finished.
