Summary: Mold on leather bags is a common problem. We all know that genuine leather wallets are usually quite expensive, and it can be difficult to know how to properly deal with mold. This is especially true in leather bag factories, where mold on finished products can result in significant losses. Sometimes, however, bags are stored in warehouses without proper attention to mold prevention and scientific storage methods. Coupled with humid weather, bags can easily become moldy, and the resulting mold stains are difficult to remove. Discarding these bags seems wasteful, so today, we'll share some tips on removing mold from leather bags.
I. Methods for Removing Mold from Leather Bags
Mold on leather bags is not uncommon. We all know that genuine leather wallets are generally quite expensive, and it's unclear how to properly handle them when they get moldy. This is especially true in leather bag factories, where moldy finished products result in significant losses. Sometimes, bags are stored in warehouses without proper mold prevention and scientific storage methods. Coupled with humid weather, bags easily become moldy, and the resulting mildew stains are difficult to remove. Discarding these bags seems wasteful, so today, we'll share some tips on removing mold from leather bags. (Mold inhibitors, antifungal agents)
1. For leather bags with minor mold at home, use a soft, damp (wrung-out) warm towel to gently wipe the mold. Pay attention to the pressure applied, ensuring the bag's coating is not damaged while thoroughly removing the surface mildew. Do not use alcohol, nail polish remover, or other harsh or inferior products, to avoid damaging the bag's material.
2. For bags with more severe mildew stains, simply wiping them may not be enough. In this case, use a specialized leather mold remover; do not attempt to use other remedies. Leather bag manufacturers with significant mold problems should pay particular attention to proper mold removal methods. Leather mold removers gently remove mold without affecting the leather's texture or performance. Generally, they kill mold within 12 hours, providing relief for leather bag manufacturers. (Mold inhibitors, antifungal agents)
After treating moldy bags with the above methods, to prevent future mold growth in humid environments, apply a specialized leather mold inhibitor. This protects the bag from future mold growth during storage.
II. Methods for Removing Mold from Engineered Wood Products
There are only two types of wood paneling: solid wood and engineered wood. Particleboard, fiberboard, plywood, solid wood veneer, and oriented strand board are all engineered wood products. So, don't be surprised when you hear the term "engineered wood," and don't assume it's inferior. Aside from the name, engineered wood is a milestone in modern furniture history. These materials are used in home, office, hotel, and other building renovations.
However, there's a saying: "The more environmentally friendly, the more prone to mold." During the rainy season, with high humidity and moisture in the air, these wood products often develop mold. Today, we'll discuss mold prevention and removal for engineered wood products. (Mold inhibitors, antifungal agents)
For already moldy wood products, use a wood mold remover. Instructions: First, clean the surface of the wood. Then, apply the undiluted mold remover 1-2 times with a brush or sponge (until the surface is completely wet). Cover the entire piece with plastic sheeting (plastic wrap) and let it air dry in a well-ventilated area for 12-24 hours. After the mold is removed, proceed with further processing.
After the treated wood dries, spray a wood mold spray on the surface to inhibit mold and fungi, forming a protective layer to prevent mold and bacteria growth, and avoid future mold growth. (Mold inhibitors, antifungal agents)
