I. Common Problems of PVC Composite Fabric

1. Fabric Color: The processes of gluing, hot pressing, and drying during the composite process affect the fabric color. 2. Washing Separation/Bubbling: After the fabric is compounded, poor bonding strength causes local separation or bubbling during washing.

4. Washing Bark Wrinkles: When washing composite fabrics with a shrinkage rate difference of more than 3% between the surface and backing fabrics and significant differences in thickness, the thin surface fabric will form bark wrinkles due to the shrinkage difference.

5. Glue Showing Through: Light-colored and thin woven fabrics may show glue dots after the glue is cured.

6. Glue Overflow: Fabrics with loose structures and a relatively stiff hand feel are prone to glue seeping through the fabric surface.

7. Color Yarn of Light-Colored Surface Fabric Becomes Prominent After Compounding: In white fabrics, especially white woolen fabrics, the color yarn and other fabric defects become particularly prominent after compounding due to the backing.

8. Foreign Matter Included in the Composite: Impurities (such as hair, fiber scraps, etc.) are easily trapped in the composite glue during PU composite production. When compounding light-colored surface fabrics, the trapped foreign matter will be visible on the fabric surface.

9. Edge Curling: When elastic and inelastic fabrics are bonded, and the elastic fabric is thicker than the inelastic fabric, edge curling is easily caused if the fabric tension is not well controlled during the compounding process. II. Summary and Measures for PVC Composite Fabric

1. For fabrics with a shrinkage rate difference of more than 3%, the fabric with a smaller shrinkage rate should be thicker than the fabric with a larger shrinkage rate (determined by specific samples).

2. The surface fabric should not be treated with hydrophobic softening, especially fluorine-containing waterproof treatment before compounding.

3. Avoid using white fabrics, especially white woolen fabrics, for compounding.

4. High-value surface fabrics should have a narrower width than low-value fabrics, and the width difference should not exceed 10CM, otherwise there will be significant waste.

5. Fabrics with production risks should not be used for compounding.

VIII. Composite Process

1. For fabrics that require dry cleaning, PUR process should be selected for compounding.

2. During compounding, the fabric should be aligned with the warp and weft, avoiding weft skew, straight yarn twisting, etc.

3. Intermediate maintenance treatment should be sufficient, otherwise the peel strength will be poor.

4. Although composite processing seems simple, it is greatly related to the experience, technology, and operational proficiency of the composite factory.

5. The compounded fabric cannot be recompounded. Even if peeled off, it will affect the fabric yarn, making the hand feel harder and the yarn easily punctured by needles.
