I. Preparation for PVC Flooring Installation

1. Before installing the flooring, the PVC flooring should be laid out in the construction area at an ambient temperature above 18℃ for at least 24 hours to remove any stress in the material.

2. First, prepare the construction tools. Check the operation and power supply of the main machinery and equipment, and arrange the construction power and water sources. Imported tools should not share a power strip with other power tools and must be equipped with a voltage regulator and power protection device. Avoid excessive current that may cause the machine to malfunction and delay the project. Check the condition of various types of hand tools, such as floor material cutting knives, grooving knives, seam cutters, and glue spreaders. Ensure the surface of the glue roller is clean and smooth. If it does not meet the usage standards, replace the worn parts in time to ensure construction quality.

3. Applying the primer: After the self-leveling is completed, there may still be tiny particles and dust on the surface. In these cases, a grinding machine is needed for further fine leveling. After fine grinding, some dust will remain on the ground and is difficult to remove. A water-based primer needs to be applied again to seal the tiny pores and dust on the surface of the self-leveling, making the surface smooth and improving the bonding effect of the adhesive, preventing the floor from bulging or delaminating after construction. 4. Check the construction environment: Before installing the flooring, check the temperature of the construction site. The indoor temperature should not be less than 18℃, and the relative humidity should not exceed 75%. Ensure adequate ventilation in the work area and prevent pollutants from entering other parts of the building.

5. Material placement: Before construction, the PVC roll material must be laid flat on a flat surface until it is flat and the material stress is relieved, then placed in the room where the adhesive will be applied. Reasonably arrange the cutting area to ensure it is dust-free and free of sand. Use special transport tools for transporting and handling rolls. Damaged flooring caused during transportation and handling should be cut off using a plastic trimming tool before cutting.

II. Measurement and Cutting of PVC Flooring

Basic requirements: Based on the installation design plan, combine on-site measurements to determine the dimensional error, determine the baseline points according to the installation design plan, and use a chalk line box to draw the outline of the floor installation. Cut the material according to the outline, properly arrange the layout of welding lines and inlays, and minimize material waste.

Operational points: Material cutting must be handled by a designated person; if the flooring has directional patterns, the consistency of the direction must be constantly monitored; accurate data must be obtained from the site for each cut; for each cutting, a 2-3 cm allowance must be left between materials.
