Release Time: 2020-05-25

Summary: With the rapid development of modern industrial processes, conveyor belts, with their convenient features, have been widely used in various conveying fields. Conveyor belts, also known as transport belts, are rubber and fiber, metal composite products, or plastic and fabric composite products used in belt conveyors to carry and transport materials. Belt conveyors are widely used in agriculture, mining and industrial enterprises, and transportation industries to convey various solid block and powdery materials or piece goods. Conveyor belts can achieve continuous, high-efficiency, and high-angle transportation. Conveyor belts are safe to operate, easy to use and maintain, have low transportation costs, and can shorten transportation distances, reduce engineering costs, and save manpower and material resources.

With the rapid development of modern industrial processes, conveyor belts, with their convenient features, have been widely used in various conveying fields. Conveyor belts, also known as transport belts, are rubber and fiber, metal composite products, or plastic and fabric composite products used in belt conveyors to carry and transport materials. Belt conveyors are widely used in agriculture, industrial and mining enterprises, and transportation industries to convey various solid, blocky, and powdery materials or piece goods. Conveyor belts enable continuous, high-efficiency, high-angle transportation, are safe to operate, easy to use and maintain, have low transportation costs, shorten transportation distances, reduce engineering costs, and save manpower and material resources. Rubber conveyor belts, due to their good bending properties, wear resistance, temperature resistance, and tear resistance, are widely used in ports, metallurgy, mining, power, coal, casting, building materials, grain, and chemical industries for material conveying.

I. Types of Light Conveyor Belts

PVC conveyor belts, rubber and plastic product conveyor belts, PU conveyor belts, etc., are widely used in various fields such as food, logistics, electronics, tobacco, wood, stone, and fitness. The suitability of the conveyor belt motor directly affects the smooth operation and conveying capacity of the conveyor belt, so how to choose a suitable matching motor is an important aspect of conveyor belt design.

II. Methods to Prevent Conveyor Belt Tears

1. Improve the air tightness of the conveyor belt to prevent water from entering the core layer and steel wire rust. Manufacturers are required to strengthen quality control and improve quality.

2. Use tear-resistant conveyor belts and conveyor belts that can detect tears. Currently, this is rarely used in ports, but some mines use them. Tear-resistant conveyor belts use steel wire rope as the longitudinal skeleton material and add a transverse reinforcing body to the belt body as an anti-tear layer. The structure of this layer is divided into two types: one uses glued canvas; the other uses transverse ropes.

3. The cover layer uses high-strength, high-elasticity, and wear-resistant rubber. The price of this product is about 20% higher than that of ordinary conveyor belts, but it is not very effective against large debris, and the transverse steel wires in it will damage the conveyor belt faster once exposed and rusted.

4. Use conveyor belts that can detect tears. A sensor with a closed loop is added to the conveyor belt, and the detector is installed at the easily torn parts of the belt conveyor and connected to the controller.
